Precious Perez, also known as “the blind reggaetonera” is a professional artist, author, actress, educator, and disability advocate with American and Latin roots. Born in Boston to a Puerto Rican family and currently a resident of Kentucky, Precious is entering her new musical era after graduating with a double major in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Berklee College of Music. Precious aims “To be the first blind reggaetonera in the Latin music industry, breaking the mold.” Her story and music have led her to be featured in spaces like grammy.com and Telemundo. . Precious actively works to make space for music professionals with disabilities, serving as President of Recording Artists and Music Professionals with Disabilities (RAMPD.) Previous Louisville performances include Portcastle Fest and Waterfront’s Most Talented. Precious was also the winner of Best Song at Kentucky’s 2023 Latin Music Awards, and gigs locally with the party pop cover band Sight Unseen whose members make up the majority of her local performance band. Her book detailing her journey with disability and music was released with Norton Young Readers in August 2023, almost two months after her Kennedy Center debut.

As a teacher, I aim to be very welcoming and encouraging. I work with you to create your goals, and help you achieve them while also growing in the process. I can guarantee that we will have fun and work hard together. I'm excited to get started! :)

After you book, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a link to your upcoming lesson that you’ll join using a web browser or the Zoom app. Lessons use both audio and video, so make sure that you can meet the system requirement before booking a lesson. Online lessons are interactive, so you’ll be able to communicate with your teacher, ask questions, and comment as much as you like.

Lessons can be canceled or rescheduled directly on the platform using the cancel/reschedule function in the Booked Lesson section of your Dashboard at least 24 hours before the lesson time. If you need to cancel a lesson, do so by clicking on the “Cancel” button on your booked lesson and your teacher will be notified automatically.

You can always think ahead and get a few things ready before your lessons. Make sure to tune your instrument before the lesson. Bring à a notepad and anything you might need to write down notes. We strongly recommend testing your video conference settings at least 15 min before each lesson to avoid any unwanted technical issues during the lesson.
