I am an oboist, originally from Lima, Peru. I was recently featured in Out Voices magazine, where I discussed my experiences in the LGBTQ+ community and as a classical musician. I am an experienced performer internationally, playing in ensembles such as MusicaNova Orchestra in Phoenix, Bellevue Ballet and Seattle Music Inc. in Washington State, and National Symphony Orchestra of Peru. I am particularly interested in contemporary music and electroacoustic works, and I have made it my mission to perform music by underrepresented composers.
I have recently finished a Doctorate of Music in Oboe from Arizona State University. I currently work in audio production for Arizona PBS and hold degrees from the University of Washington and the National Conservatory of Music in Peru. My primary teachers include Martin Schuring, Mary Lynch, and Carlos Otárola.
No matter your experience in your instrument, you can expect to play your favorite music after regular lessons. I will cater exercises to your skills, and will arrange your favorite music to match your playing level.

You can always think ahead and get a few things ready before your lessons. Make sure to tune your instrument before the lesson. Bring à a notepad and anything you might need to write down notes. We strongly recommend testing your video conference settings at least 15 min before each lesson to avoid any unwanted technical issues during the lesson.
