Voice lessons: common questions

Do I need to be a good singer to start?

No. Teachers work with complete beginners as well as experienced singers, and every voice can grow with practice. Each teacher’s profile shows the levels they teach.

What do I need for an online singing lesson?

A quiet room, a phone, tablet or laptop with a camera and microphone, and a glass of water. Your teacher will share warm-ups and songs during the lesson.

Can I work on the songs I like?

Yes. Bring the songs you want to sing, from musical theater to pop, and your teacher will build technique around them.

How does the first lesson work?

Your first lesson with a new teacher can be a free trial, so you can see whether you click before you commit. Pick a time on their profile and they will confirm it. If plans change, you can cancel or move a lesson up to 24 hours before it starts at no charge.
