Tell us what you want to learn and we'll point you at the teachers worth meeting.
Not to start. A pair of sticks and a practice pad are enough for the first lessons, and an electronic kit with headphones keeps things quiet at home. Your teacher will tell you when a kit is worth it.
Many children start drums around six or seven, once they can sit at the kit and hold sticks comfortably. Adults begin at every age. Each teacher’s profile shows the levels they teach.
You join a video call with your camera placed to show your hands and feet. Your teacher demonstrates each groove, listens as you play it back, and gives you exercises to practice between lessons.
Your first lesson with a new teacher can be a free trial, so you can see whether you click before you commit. Pick a time on their profile and they will confirm it. If plans change, you can cancel or move a lesson up to 24 hours before it starts at no charge.
